Our ranch
is located between beautiful Steamboat Springs and Craig, Colorado.
We would like to introduce Skip N Staints, a 1999 brown stallion
(pictured here as a weanling) that we will be using in our breeding
program in the near future. We will be crossing this fine colt on
the daughters of the gorgeous stallion we currently stand, Quasar
Skip (Skips Retreat x Skips Blonde Lass). Skip N Staints' pedigree
is outstanding. His sire, Skippa Staints was No. 3 in Hank Wiescamp's
stallion row, and his dam Si Bella is a full sister to Skip N Union,
who was Hank's No. 2 stallion. For the serious Skipper W Breeder,
this colt's pedigree doesn't get any better.
At Rolando Quarter Horses,
we offer superior line bred Skipper W horses with a focus on producing
buckskin and dun. To see more of our horses by our stallions Quasar
Skip and Skips Sunny Side, click on the link to our ranch web page.
We always have quality Skipper W horses for sale and we welcome
visitors!
Sibella
was purchased at the Hank Wiescamp Dispersal Sale in 1998. Her 2000
foal, Skips Endeavor (pictured) by our stallion, Quasar Skip, was
the 2000 Reserve World champion Breeding horse at the Routt County
Fair and his half brother, Skip N Staints (pictured), by
Skippa Staints x Sibella was the Grand Champion Breeding Horse in
1999 and 2000. We are very excited about these two young stallion
prospects. We will start using Skip N Staints in our breeding program
in 2001. This horse is almost black, and has three white socks.
It's hard to find this dark color in Skipper W bred horses along
with a pedigree like Skip N Staints has. Contact us about stud fees.
We will offer this colt to a few select outside mares in 2001.
Another
one of our Skipper horses that has done well is Elkhead Skipper,
by our stallion, Quasar Skip. Jim raised this horse and is currently
owned by Seth Brookman of Wyoming. Seth took this 14-year old gelding
and went to the National High School Rodeo finals in bull dogging
and will continue to show this horse next year in team roping and
bull dogging. So it goes to say our horses do very well in the both
ends of the arena, halter and performance. Call us about breeding
to one of our three stallions, Quasar Skip, Skips Sunny Side or
Skip N Staints.
