Lavender Farms
is located in beautiful Leitchfield, Kentucky, and is one of the largest
breeding farms of TRUE line-bred Skipper W horses east of the Mississippi.
Lavender Farms is owned and operated by George Kimball and his partner,
Tandy Hall Enoch. Both work hard at their breeding program and take numerous
Skipper horses to show every year. George has been breeding SkipperW/Wiescamp
horses since 1985, and boasts an average of 100 head at all times. The
original foundation stock of the herd was purchased from Clayton Benker,
the owner of Skipster and Skipster's Lad. Clayton bought from and dealt
with Hank Wiescamp for many years. All of Lavender Farms' stock as well
as Clayton Benker's stock, originated from Hank Wiescamp's branded stock.
Lavender Farms owned the late, great Skip N Honor. Some of his daughters
were still in Hank's breeding program and were sold at the Wiescamp Dispersal
Sale. Their primary family of Skipper horses go back to these wonderful
horses, including Skipper's King. In fact, many of Lavender Farms' horses
go back to Skipper W better than fifteen times. George and Tandy welcome
visitors and have plenty of horses of all ages and colors available for
sale. If you're in the area, just stop by and say, hello. They'll be glad
to show you some real southern hospitality.
