Popularly known as Wiescamp horses, the Skipper W bloodlines ultimately came about through the cooperation and skillful efforts of a number of early 20th century master breeders. Renowned and respected as several of the most famous stock horse breeders in history, men like Warren Shoemaker, H. J. Wiescamp, Jack Casement, Quentin Semotan, Jack Kyle, Marshall Peavy, and Coke Roberds, were responsible for equally contributing to the celebrity of the Skipper W bloodlines. These Breeders pioneered excellence in confirmation, ability, and disposition which produced such notable horses as Question Mark, Old Fred, Peter McCue, Plaudit, Nick, and Sheik, who later went on to produce other notorious horses like Brush Mount, Skipper W, Gold Mount, Holy Smoke, and Scooter W.
